Lesson 15

You will need these images for this lesson. I have zipped them up for you.

You may do the lesson as you watch the video though
Also - Click the full screen button on the player to watch it full screen or you may not see all of the settings properly



1. CORK

Locate and open the cork image.
Duplicate and minimize the original.
We are going to remove the red mark from this image, which is a treble clef music notation.

Click on the Clone Brush Tool - Click C on your keyboard will also do this


    Use the following settings:-
  • Shape - Round
  • Size- 50
  • Hardness - 100
  • Step -25
  • Density - 100
  • Thickness - 100
  • Rotation - 0
  • Opacity - 100
  • Blend Mode - Normal
  • Aligned Mode - TICKED
  • Leave others- UNTICKED
RIGHT click somewhere in the cork area to the left of the red image
Then LEFT click on the red mark and while holding down the left mouse button,
drag over the red mark and it will be replace by the cork.

Save as:- YourName - Lesson15a

2. WHALES

Open both of the Whale images. Duplicate them both and minimize the originals
Click on the Clone Brush Tool (or C on your keyboard)
    Change the following settings:-
  • Size -25
  • Hardness - 50
  • Show Overlay - TICKED
Starting with the larger image and remove the dark part on the left of the image and also the hand.
RIGHT click to the right of the dark part just below the horizon the drag over the dark part until it is gone.



Change the brush Size to 75 and now get rid of the hand.
RIGHT click on the water between the hand and the whale and then LEFT click on the hand, but don't drag this time,



Just keep LEFT clicking on the hand until it is gone. Take care not to clone the whale also.

Now we are going to copy the Whale tail from the smaller image onto the area where the hand was.
First lower the hardness to 25
RIGHT click on the smaller image over the white water area just to the left of the tail



LEFT click on the larger image down in the bottom left corner and drag the mouse over the image.
Do take care not to get a cut off look where the image ends.



This is the final result



Save as:- YourName - Lesson15b
