There are no supplies for this lesson.
If you find you do need the Brush Tips that I use for this lesson, then you can get them from the Level 1 Downloads Page
Use the same password for Level 1 Lessons

First - Wait for the Video player to load
Then - You need to watch the video before doing lesson below - it has a lot more important information and explanations for you
You may do the lesson as you watch the video though
Also - Click the full screen button on the player to watch it full screen or you may not see all of the settings properly

    Open a New Image

  • Colour - White
Click OK

Click on the Paint Brush Tool - the keyboard Shortcut is B

Now go up to the Preview window to the right of Presets and open it by clicking on the little arrow on the side.

This will show you all of the brush tips that you have to use.
To get a brush tip to work, click on it and then Click the OK button

You can choose settings up the top in the tool bar options the same as we did for the Brush.
You can change the Size, Density, Opacity etc

Making your own Categories

File > Preferences > File Locations
Choose the File type you wish to make a category for

Choose where you want to put your folder - preferably outside of PaintShop Pro
You might even have to make this folder if you don't have one

Tick both Enable and Use Sub Folders - Let's choose Brushes for this example

Click on Create Sub Folder to place a Folder inside your Brushes - this will form a Category inside the Resource Manager
Give your sub folder a name - Example "Christmas"
Click OK

It will not show up until you place something in that folder

Now go back to the Brushes ( You can check the Resource Manager - It will not be there yet)
So now I locate my Christmas Brushes
1 - Click on one of them to select it
2 - Click on the Resource Manager

It will open with that Christmas Brush selected
Click on Move

A Browse for Folder window will appear and you need to locate the Christmas Folder you just made.
Select that one by clicking on it.

Click OK and close the Browse for Folder Window
You should now see your Brush you just moved inside the Christmas Folder
You should also be able to see the Christmas Category inside the Resource Manager

Now you should be able to MOVE all of the Christmas Brushes into that folder in the Resource Manager.
