Lesson 26

First - Wait for the Video player to load
Then - You need to watch the video before doing lesson below - it has a lot more important information and explanations for you
You may do the lesson as you watch the video though
Also - Click the full screen button on the player to watch it full screen or you may not see all of the settings properly



1. LIGHTHOUSE

Open your images in PaintShop Pro and Duplicate them and close the originals
Resize the Lighthouse by 40% & Sharpen
Go to Effects > Illumination > Lights
When the Lights window opens, if you do not have the preview panes open, then click on the triangle in the top left corner to open them.
Also tick the Preview on Image box in the top right corner.

Click on Spotlight 1 in the bottom Left corner, Then Untick the On Box in Settings


Repeat with the other Spotlights 2, 3, 4 & 5
Now all the lights are off, we start to set each spotlight one at a time

Click on Spotlight 1 and Turn it on
  • Darkness = 0
  • Colour = White
  • Intensity = 25
  • Direction = 137
  • Horizontal = -90
  • Vertical - -89
  • Scale = 10
  • Smoothness = 39
  • Cone size = 45
  • Asymmetry = 553

Click on Spotlight 2 and Turn it on
  • Darkness = 0
  • Colour = #ffffd1
  • Intensity = 40
  • Direction = 226
  • Horizontal = 90
  • Vertical - -79
  • Scale = 10
  • Smoothness = 28
  • Cone size = 45
  • Asymmetry = 413

Click on Spotlight 3 and Turn it on
  • Darkness = 0
  • Colour = #81bbf3
  • Intensity = 40
  • Direction = 335
  • Horizontal = 71
  • Vertical - 82
  • Scale = 20
  • Smoothness = 50
  • Cone size = 45
  • Asymmetry = 500

Click on Spotlight 4 and Turn it on
  • Darkness = 0
  • Colour = #021c1b
  • Intensity = 100
  • Direction = 43
  • Horizontal = -74
  • Vertical - 51
  • Scale = 12
  • Smoothness = 79
  • Cone size = 37
  • Asymmetry = 726

Click on Spotlight 5 and Turn it on
  • Darkness = 0
  • Colour = White
  • Intensity = 23
  • Direction = 262
  • Horizontal = 24
  • Vertical - -27
  • Scale = 7
  • Smoothness = 28
  • Cone size = 21
  • Asymmetry = 822

Click OK
The effect will now be on your image

  • Buttonize
  • simple borders
  • Framed Border with Corners and Effects

Save this as YourName-Lesson26a

2. OWN CHOICE

Now find your own image (I have supplied links to 2 images if you can't find any suitable ones)
Add as many ligths as you wish and also Add an finishing edge - again you have the same choices as in the first part of the lesson
