This is an old photo of Sandy taken about 40 yrs ago and it is faded and badly marked

First - Wait for the Video player to load
Then - You need to watch the video before doing lesson below - it has a lot more important information and explanations for you
You may do the lesson as you watch the video though
Also - Click the full screen button on the player to watch it full screen or you may not see all of the settings properly



1. PREPARE & FIX COLOURS

Open the Image - Duplicate and Minimize the original

Go to Adjust > One Step Noise Removal
Now Compare this photo to the original

Go to Adjust > Colour > Fade Correction
Change the Amount of Correction to 15
Click OK


2. SCRATCH REMOVER TOOL

Activate the Scratch Remover Tool - it is on the Flyout Menu with the Clone Tool


Leave the Width at 20 and select the Rectangular option,


Zoom into the top left of the photo
Draw out a rectangle to encompass the white scratch in the sky
- top left - make sure the scratch is in the centre box.


Release the Mouse button

Repeat with the other white scratch in the sky

Now repeat the action on the large marks on the Right side of the sky


Alter the Width if necessary and continue until they are gone

Now work on the bushes and grass areas the same way - take care where the sky meets the bushes



3. PICTURE FRAME

Go to Image > Picture Frame OR click on your picture frame icon
Add any picture frame that you like - I also added a drop shadow to make it stand out more.


Merge all (Flatten)

Save this as YourName-Lesson31
