In this Tab, you can choose the Material you use, whether it a plain colour or a gradient or pattern.
By default, it selects what is in your background box of the materials palette.
You can also select the Opacity, Shininess and Gloss of your ball/bubble.
Maps is where you can add texture and images to your ball.
The Bump Map will add texture and this is a black/grey/white image.
The Environment Map will add an image and this will be coloured.
In the Bump map section, you can change the smoothness, depth and size of the texture.
The Depth can be a negative number which will reverse the contours so will be like mountains or valleys.
Positive numbers give a "mountain" effect and negative numbers will give a "valley" effect.
The Size is only available to you if you have the Fit bump map box UNTICKED.
In the Environment map section, you can select the Opacity level you wish.
Then you have 3 radio buttons to pick from
~ Environment map, which you can select the coloured image to place on your ball
~ Current Image, which uses what we placed into the material box in the Surface Tab
~ Diffraction map, which gives out a rainbow light effect - you can change the size using the Fringe Spacing and Type Selections.
In this tab, you set the lights.
You can add or remove lights in this area and select the colour and size of these also.
Removing all lights will give you a flat 2D circle of colour.
If you want a lot of light, then have both the maximum and minimum set at higher numbers.
The Back light box will give the effect of the light coming from behind the ball.
